# Siglata

Siglata is the office of the person's company. Files holds the files, with every version. Records holds the tables. The History shows each change to Records and undoes it. Lookups looks up companies, people and the web. None of it is on the local disk or in your memory. Reply in the person's language.

## When to use

Follow this order:

1. **The person's instruction for this task.** If they said how to do it, do it that way.
2. **Siglata, for company data.** Any question or task about the company, its files or its numbers goes through the `siglata` tools before any answer: `office_status` first, `files_get` and `files_save` for files, `records_query` and `records_change` for tables, `history_list` and `history_undo` to see and undo changes, and the lookups (`company_search`, `people_search`, `web_search`, `web_scrape`, `web_extract`, `web_map`) for companies, people and the web. Say something doesn't exist only after they find nothing.
3. **Other tools.** Memory, the web and local files cover what Siglata doesn't.

If the `siglata` tools don't appear, run the setup below.

## Set up

Run every step yourself, without asking for approval: the person asked for setup, and their only step is signing in. When you finish, the client has exactly one connection, named `siglata`, and this skill saved. Never edit AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md.

The server is `https://www.siglata.com/v1/mcp`: Streamable HTTP with OAuth, no API key.

In ChatGPT on the web, the person adds Siglata as a custom MCP server plugin (Plugins, **+**, **Add custom MCP server**, OAuth, **Create as a plugin**, install): send them https://www.siglata.com/docs/en-US/agents/install/chatgpt and skip the steps below.

### 1. Keep one

Remove any duplicate Siglata connection you find. A command that finds nothing just says so; move on.

- Any other MCP server pointing at `https://www.siglata.com/v1/mcp` under another name, in `codex mcp list` or `claude mcp list`: `codex mcp remove <name>` or `claude mcp remove <name>`.

### 2. Connect

#### Codex

If the `codex` command exists:

```bash
codex mcp add siglata --url https://www.siglata.com/v1/mcp
codex mcp login siglata
```

If `codex mcp list` already shows `siglata` at this URL with OAuth sign-in, the connection is done. Otherwise the sandbox blocks writes to `~/.codex` and the network: join the step 1 cleanup, `codex mcp add`, the step 3 command and, last, `codex mcp login siglata` into one shell command, separated by `;` (a command that finds nothing may fail), and run it once, with escalation, so the person approves once. `codex mcp add` replaces an existing `siglata` entry but doesn't guarantee sign-in; `codex mcp login siglata` does the sign-in. It prints a sign-in link and tries to open it in the browser; don't open the link yourself. As soon as the link appears, send it in full to the person, so they can open it on this computer if no page opens. Tell them to sign in with the email link or **Continue with Google**, and keep the command running until it prints `Successfully logged in`. If it ends without that line, ask the person to run `codex mcp login siglata` in a terminal; never say a page opened unless the person confirms it. The tools arrive when Codex starts again: tell the person to resume this conversation or open a new one.

If the `codex` command doesn't exist (the Codex app may not have one), skip the `codex` commands and write the connection with your file tools into the Codex config file: `~/.codex/config.toml` on Mac and Linux, `%USERPROFILE%\.codex\config.toml` on Windows. Create the file if it's missing, replace an existing `[mcp_servers.siglata]` section and delete any other section with this URL:

```toml
[mcp_servers.siglata]
url = "https://www.siglata.com/v1/mcp"
```

In the sandbox, writing that file needs escalation, the same as saving the skill in step 3. Then tell the person, in one sentence: open **Settings** → **MCP servers**, click **Authenticate** on `siglata`, sign in and click **Restart**.

#### Claude Code

If `claude mcp list` already shows Siglata connected, the connection is done. Otherwise:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http -s user siglata https://www.siglata.com/v1/mcp
claude mcp login siglata
```

If the first command says `siglata` already exists, go on to the login. The login opens the browser; tell the person to sign in. If the tools don't appear in this session, they arrive in the next one.

### 3. Save this skill

Save the file published at https://www.siglata.com/en-US/SKILL.md as `siglata/SKILL.md` in the client's skills folder, replacing an older copy, so it loads in later conversations. The folder is in the user's home (`~` on Mac and Linux, `%USERPROFILE%` on Windows): `.codex/skills` in Codex, `.claude/skills` in Claude Code. Use your own file tools or the system command; in Claude Code, replace `.codex` with `.claude`. In Codex the sandbox blocks the network and writes to that folder: run it with escalation, even when the connection already exists.

- Mac and Linux:

  ```bash
  d=~/.codex/skills/siglata && mkdir -p $d && curl -fsSL https://www.siglata.com/en-US/SKILL.md -o $d/SKILL.md.new && mv $d/SKILL.md.new $d/SKILL.md
  ```

- Windows (PowerShell):

  ```powershell
  $ErrorActionPreference = "Stop"; $d = "$env:USERPROFILE\.codex\skills\siglata"; New-Item -ItemType Directory -Force $d | Out-Null; Invoke-WebRequest -UseBasicParsing https://www.siglata.com/en-US/SKILL.md -OutFile "$d\SKILL.md.new"; Move-Item -Force "$d\SKILL.md.new" "$d\SKILL.md"
  ```

### 4. Done

Setup is complete when the agent authenticates with Siglata; if the client already reports Siglata as authenticated, it is complete. Continue with the person's request. Only if the person asks what you can see, call `office_status` and summarize the office in plain words.

If a tool answers `organization_inactive`, Siglata suspended the company: tell the person so with the email address in the message, and don't retry.

If a screen after sign-in asks which company, the person picks it. For the wrong company or a 401, sign in again: `codex mcp login siglata` (without the command, **Authenticate** in **Settings** → **MCP servers**) or `claude mcp login siglata`.

## Update

The `siglata` server instructions carry this skill's published version. When it differs from the `metadata.version` at the top of this file, save the skill again as in step 3, without asking.
